Heliotropium arboreum

Native across tropical coasts from the Indian Ocean to the Pacific, Heliotropium arboreum is an evergreen shrub or small tree adapted to salt spray, wind, and sandy shorelines. Broad gray-green leaves cluster near branch tips. Many tiny white flowers form dense coiled clusters that later produce small rounded fruits. Photographed in Florida.
