Grammatophyllum Broga Tiger bears many cream and greenish flowers patterned with dark reddish-brown patches along branching green stalks

Grammatophyllum Broga Tiger

This cultivated orchid hybrid was developed by Serdang Orchid Nursery in Malaysia. Its parents are Grammatophyllum measuresianum and Grammatophyllum Tiger’s Paw. Broad green leaves accompany long flowering stalks bearing numerous fragrant flowers. Gold and bronze markings give the blossoms their tiger-like pattern. Flowering displays can last for several months as the many buds open along the stalks. The hybrid is grown as an ornamental in orchid collections and botanical gardens. Photographed in Florida.
