Goeppertia zebrina (zebra plant)
Originating from southeastern Brazil, this species is commonly dubbed as the zebra plant due to its unique foliage resembling zebra stripes. The distinctive dark green velvety leaves with lime green stripes make it visually appealing. It's a compact, rhizomatous plant that typically grows to a height of 1-3 feet in containers, making it suitable for indoor cultivation and providing a tropical aesthetic. It has earned the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. Photographed in Quindio, Colombia.
