Gaultheria erecta

Native to Argentina Northwest, Belize, Bolivia, northern Brazil, southeastern Brazil, and southern Brazil and nearby regions, it is a shrub in the Ericaceae family. Documented elevations extend from about 6,550 to 12,150 feet. It develops branching woody stems and dense foliage, with flowers arranged singly or in inflorescences. Photographed in Colombia.
