Gardenia vietnamensis

This cultivated gardenia is a vigorous evergreen shrub with a dense, rounded form. It can reach about six feet tall and equally wide. The single, creamy-white flowers are about three inches across and strongly fragrant. Narrow, spreading flower lobes create an unusual pinwheel outline. Photographed in Florida.
