Euryops chrysanthemoides has a golden yellow daisy head with long ray florets surrounding a dense yellow disc above narrow lobed leaves

Euryops chrysanthemoides (Golden Daisy Bush)

Native to southern Africa, this densely branched evergreen shrub occurs along forest edges, in riverine bush and ravines, and in coastal scrub. Closely spaced, green leaves have deep lobes. Golden yellow flower heads rise above the foliage on slender, wiry stalks, each combining outer ray florets with a central disc of smaller florets. Flowering is especially abundant from autumn through spring in its native region. Small, black, ridged fruits develop afterward. Cultivated widely as an ornamental, it has been introduced beyond its native range. Photographed in Colombia.
