Euphorbia pulcherrima (Poinsettia)

Native to Guatemala, central Mexico, Mexico Gulf, northeastern Mexico, northwestern Mexico, southeastern Mexico, and southwestern Mexico, this is a shrub in the Euphorbiaceae family. The poinsettia is a large bush known for its red and green foliage, particularly in Christmas floral arrangements. Currently, there is a wide array of cultivars. Photographed in the central Andes mountain range of Colombia.
