Pink Eugenia myrtifolia fruits and white flowers sit among glossy leaves and reddish new growth

Eugenia myrtifolia

Native to eastern Australia, this brush cherry is an evergreen shrub or small tree. Several stems may develop from the lower trunk, supporting a rounded to vase-shaped crown. New foliage emerges reddish before maturing. White flowers appear during the warmer months and are followed by small fleshy fruits. Photographed in Florida.
