Eucalyptus cinerea

Native to southeastern Australia, this small to medium-sized tree grows in grassy and dry woodlands, often on shallow soils. It can reach about forty-nine feet tall. The crown frequently retains rounded juvenile leaves with a distinctive silvery, waxy coating. Flower buds occur in groups of three, followed by small woody capsules. Its familiar common names include Argyle apple and silver dollar tree. Photographed in Colombia.
