Epidendrum fimbriatum

Native to Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela, it is an orchid in the Orchidaceae family. Documented elevations extend from about 3,500 to 12,450 feet. Its foliage supports purple flowers on one or more flowering stems, with the floral form providing the principal identifying feature. Photographed in Colombia.
