Epicatanthe Volcano Trick 'Paradise'

A cultivated orchid hybrid, Volcano Trick combines Cattlianthe Trick or Treat with Epidendrum stamfordianum. The Paradise selection bears abundant clusters of star-shaped flowers about one and a half to two inches across. Orange-yellow segments are strongly overlaid with reddish-orange colouring. Tall, cane-like pseudobulbs carry leathery leaves and support the flower display. Mature plants can reach about twenty-four to twenty-eight inches tall. Photographed in Florida.
