Echinopsis cuzcoensis

Native to Peru, Echinopsis cuzcoensis is a columnar succulent shrub of desert and dry Andean shrubland. Upright blue-green stems have broad ribs bearing clusters of strong spines. Large white flowers open from hairy buds near the upper stems and display numerous pale petals surrounding a dense center of stamens. Photographed in Colombia.
