Dibulla Beach is located along Colombia’s Caribbean coast in the department of La Guajira, at the base of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, the world’s highest coastal mountain range. From the beach, you can often see the snow-capped peaks of the Sierra Nevada in the distance. The beach is wide, long and uncrowded. The area receives freshwater outflow from rivers like the Río Jerez. The town of Dibulla is accessible via the Troncal del Caribe (Ruta Nacional 90) and lies roughly midway between Palomino and Riohacha, making it a convenient but less-known stop for travelers exploring the Guajira coast. There are small-scale eco-lodges and hostels nearby.
