Dianthus plumarius
Native to Austria, Hungary, Italy, and NW. Balkan Pen., this is an herbaceous plant in the Caryophyllaceae family. It has established itself in gardens worldwide. The plant habitually forms a low-growing mound, reaching up to 12 inches in height. There are numerous cultivars and hybrids, aiming to enhance and diversify its aesthetic qualities.
