Desmodium molliculum

Native to Bolivia, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, and Guyana and nearby regions, it is an herbaceous plant in the Fabaceae family. Documented elevations extend from about 4,450 to 11,200 feet. It grows on non-woody stems and produces purple flowers among or above the foliage. Photographed in Colombia.
