Dendrobium goldschmidtianum
Dendrobium goldschmidtianum is a vibrant orchid species native to the Philippines, where it grows as an epiphyte in warm, humid lowland and mid-elevation forests. The flowers of Dendrobium goldschmidtianum are notable for their rich magenta to purple petals and sepals, contrasted by a slightly darker lip with orange or yellow markings at the throat. The blooms are relatively small, measuring about 2–3 centimeters across, but they appear in dense groups along the length of older canes. Photographed in Florida.
