Dendrobium Enobi Purple Splash is a hybrid orchid within the large and diverse genus Dendrobium, which contains over 1,500 species distributed across Asia, Australia, and the Pacific islands. This particular hybrid was created by orchid breeders to showcase striking patterns of purple coloration against a white background. The flowers are notable for their broad, rounded petals and sepals, each with splashes of violet to lavender pigmentation that radiate irregularly from the edges toward the center, creating a striking contrast with the bright white base color. The labellum, or lip, often displays deeper purple tones that frame a lighter throat. Plants generally produce multiple flowers arranged along a raceme, and the blossoms are long-lasting, making them popular for both display and floral arrangements. Photographed in Florida.
