Dendrobium Enobi Purple Splash

This evergreen orchid hybrid has fleshy, green, cane-like pseudobulbs. Four to six dark green, leathery leaves grow alternately near the top of each cane. The leaves are lance-shaped, while flowering stems emerge from the leaf axils of mature canes and carry cascading sprays of flowers. White petals and sepals have irregular pink-purple markings along their edges, and the lip is more heavily streaked with purple. The flowers can last three to four weeks, and established plants may bloom more than once a year. Photographed in Florida.
