Delosperma cooperi
Delosperma cooperi, commonly known as the hardy ice plant or trailing ice plant, is a perennial succulent native to South Africa. It is widely cultivated in temperate regions for its vibrant daisy-like flowers and ability to withstand drought. The plant typically forms a low-growing mat of fleshy, cylindrical leaves that are adapted to store water, making it well suited to arid and rocky landscapes. The flowers, which bloom profusely in summer, are characterized by their brilliant magenta-purple petals surrounding a pale yellow to white center. Photographed in Peru.
