Croton gossypiifolius

Native to Colombia, Guyana, southeastern Mexico, southwestern Mexico, Trinidad-Tobago, and Venezuela, it is a tree in the Euphorbiaceae family. Documented elevations extend from about 2,300 to 7,550 feet. It develops a woody trunk and leafy crown, with flowers borne on its branches. Photographed in Colombia.
