Crinum asiaticum var. asiaticum
Crinum asiaticum var. asiaticum is native to tropical Asia. It is a naturally occurring botanical variety with larger umbels (20–40 flowers instead of 10–20), broader leaves and stronger association with coastal and island habitats in tropical Asia and the Pacific. Botanists classify it as a variety (var. asiaticum) because it differs consistently from the typical species but is not genetically distinct enough to be recognized as a separate species. Photographed in Florida.
