Costus phyllocephalus
Costus phyllocephalus is native to the western Amazon Basin. The species produces large, funnel-shaped flowers with pink, ruffled petals, and a contrasting yellow-white throat. Unlike many other Costus species that form tightly clustered inflorescences, its flowers emerge more openly from leafy bracts. Photographed in Ecuador.
