Costus comosus
Native to Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Mexico Gulf and nearby regions, this is an herbaceous plant in the Costaceae family. A tropical plant originally from Costa Rica. This species thrives in warm and humid environments, typically found in forested areas where it can receive ample moisture. It showcases a lush, upright growth habit, reaching heights of around 6 to 10 feet. Its inflorescences feature bright red bracts with yellow tubular flowers emerging from them.
