Coreopsis auriculata
Coreopsis auriculata is native to the southeastern United States. It is a perennial herbaceous plant that typically grows in clumps and spreads through rhizomes, forming dense patches. The species is well recognized for its distinctive golden-yellow flower heads, which often have a full, ruffled appearance when cultivated in ornamental varieties. This plant is valued for its long blooming season in spring and early summer. Some cultivated forms have been selected for their double-petaled flowers, enhancing their ornamental appeal.
