Coelogyne pallida
Coelogyne pallida is an epiphytic or rock-growing orchid native from the Himalayas through south-central China and Indo-China. It forms pseudobulbs that store water and support folded leaves. Long pendent flower spikes carry many small pale cream blossoms arranged closely along the axis. The species grows primarily in wet tropical forest and was formerly known as Pholidota pallida. Photographed in Florida.
