Cochlospermum vitifolium (Buttercup Tree)

A tree hailing from the tropical regions of Central and South America known for its striking yellow blossoms in the dry season. Common between Cartagena and Barranquilla and western Panama. It is the national flower of Belize. Photographed in western Panama.
