Chaetogastra
Chaetogastra is a genus of flowering plants native to the tropical Americas, with many species concentrated in Andean regions. Its members include herbs and shrubs, and identification to species often depends on combinations of floral, leaf and hair characteristics. The plant shown has five-petaled lavender flowers with yellow and purple stamens, surrounded by densely hairy reddish buds and stems. The exact species has not been determined.
