Ceratostema lanigerum


Native to Ecuador, this is a shrub in the Ericaceae family. This species is a rare cloud-forest shrub from Ecuadror. The species has dense “woolly” indument on the calyx and corolla (reflected in the epithet lanigerum), and by corollas that are bright red with distinctly darkened tips. in the foothills of the Andes as it approaches the Amazon.
