Centropogon isabellinus
Centropogon isabellinus is a shrub or subshrub native to Peru, where it occurs in montane forests and along humid slopes of the Andes. The plant is recognized by its pendulous, tubular flowers that measure around 1.5 to 2 inches in length. They are pink with a distinctive purple tinge at the tips, forming in clusters along the stems. The elongated corolla tube is slightly curved, and the sepals are persistent, holding the flowers in a downward-facing orientation. Photographed in Peru.
