A shrub native to Colombia and Ecuador with a habitat between 3,300 and 9,200 feet. The inflorescence is adorned with 6 to 30 flowers, surrounded by pink to reddish bracts with white flowers. Photographed in the eastern Andes mountain range of Colombia (Cordillera Oriental).
