Cavendishia callista
Cavendishia callista is native to southern Central America and northern South America. The flowers of Cavendishia callista are arranged in dense, pendant racemes with conspicuous pink bracts and white tubular corollas that extend downward, often tipped with faint violet hues at their lobes. The corollas measure about 1 inch long and flare subtly at the mouth, forming five-pointed, star-like ends. This floral structure is distinctive among Cavendishia species and contributes to its ornamental appeal in cultivation. Photographed in Florida.
