Native to Southeast Asia, this species has since graced numerous tropical regions worldwide due to its alluring crimson and pink flower bunches. A semi-deciduous tree, it can tower up to about 80 feet. The tree's architectural beauty is displayed through its wide-open, arched crown with descending branches adorned with sparse foliage. Its pale-green leaves are paripinnate, comprising 12 pairs of elliptic or oblong leaflets. Come spring, it boasts a dazzling floral display as its petals transition from pale red to dark red, and finally to pink, arranged in racemes. Photographed in the department of Cordoba, Colombia and Florida.
