Cantua buxifolia (Flower of the Incas)

Native to the high valleys of the Andes in Bolivia and Peru, The national flower of Peru and winner of the Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit. Its vibrant tubular flowers, blooming primarily in spring, paint the landscape with a palette spanning pink, purple, white, yellow, orange, magenta, and red.  Photographed in the southern Andes of Peru.
