Brownea ariza

Native to Colombia, Ecuador, Honduras, Panamá, Peru, and Venezuela, it is a tree in the Fabaceae family. Documented elevations extend from about 0 to 5,600 feet. It develops a woody trunk and leafy crown, with flowers borne on its branches. Photographed in Colombia.
