Rhyncholaeliocattleya George King 'Serendipity'

This perennial hybrid orchid was developed from Rhyncholaeliocattleya Buttercup and Cattleya Bob Betts. It produces two or three large flowers on a strong stem, with broad petals and a ruffled lip. The flowers open pink and gradually develop salmon, peach, and apricot tones as they age. They have a sweet citrus fragrance, and established plants can bloom several times a year. This cultivar has received the American Orchid Society’s Award of Merit. Photographed in Florida.
