Long, narrow yellow petals with maroon striping extending from pale orchid blooms in a cascading arrangement
Brassidium ‘Kenneth Bivens’

Brassidium ‘Kenneth Bivens’ is a hybrid orchid resulting from a cross between Brassia and Oncidium, bred to combine the distinctive elongated, spider-like floral shape of Brassia with the rich color patterns of select Oncidium species. This hybrid is prized for its arching sprays of large, star-shaped flowers, each with long, narrow yellow petals and sepals heavily marked with maroon or reddish-brown striping. The lip is typically broad, pale, and sometimes subtly spotted, creating a striking contrast against the rest of the flower. Flower spikes can carry numerous blooms that open in succession, extending the display period over several weeks. Photographed in Florida.
