Bletia purpurea
Native to Bahamas, Belize, Bolivia, northern Brazil, Colombia, and Costa Rica and nearby regions, it is an orchid in the Orchidaceae family. Documented elevations extend from about 2,050 to 5,600 feet. Its foliage supports flowers on one or more flowering stems, with the floral form providing the principal identifying feature.
