Blakea glandulosa
Native to Eucador and Colombia. The flowers are distinctive: six fleshy, pale-pink petals encircle a dark purple, segmented central structure; around the base sit thick, green sepals edged with evident glands and bristly hairs. Photographed in Eastern Ecuador.
