Begonia urophylla

Native to Mexico to Venezuela, this is an herbaceous plant in the Begoniaceae family. This rhizomatous herb ranges from Mexico through Central America to northern South America. It grows in wet tropical habitats, spreading by a creeping rhizome and producing clusters of pale flowers on reddish stems. Photographed in Colombia.
