Begonia umbellata

Native to Colombia, this is an herbaceous plant in the Begoniaceae family. This plant shows a particular affinity for altitudes ranging from about 7,700 to 13,000 feet above sea level, finding its habitat within the Andean biogeographic region. Photographed in the central Andes mountain range of Colombia.
