Begonia cucullata
Begonia cucullata is native to Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina, where it grows in warm, humid environments like forest edges and shaded areas. This herbaceous perennial is cultivated as an ornamental plant due to its resilience, compact growth habit, and ability to produce blooms throughout the growing season. The plant produces clusters of small, delicate flowers that are typically white, pink, or red. Photographed in the central Andes of Colombia.
