Bauhinia picta
Native to India, Nepal, and Sri Lanka, is a small tree or shrub that grows up to 10 meters in height. It has been utilized in traditional medicine for treating various ailments. The bark, in particular, is used in decoction as a treatment for diarrhea, while the leaves are used for wounds, ulcers, and skin diseases. Photographed in the central Andes mountain range of Colombia.
