A large evergreen shrub native to central and southern Chile. Azara dentata has potential medicinal properties found in its leaves. Studies conducted on local honey where Azara species are abundant revealed antioxidant, antibacterial compounds and anti-cancer activities, hinting at possible broader pharmacological applications.
