An Aster Wood’s Pink flower has lavender-pink rays surrounding a yellow central disc

Aster hybrid 'Wood’s Pink'

A cultivated herbaceous perennial, this compact aster forms a rounded clump about 12 to 18 inches tall. It was bred for a compact habit, abundant blooms and a long flowering season. Semi-double pink flowerheads with yellow centres appear from late summer into autumn and attract butterflies. The foliage is dark green, and the plant has good resistance to powdery mildew and rust. Photographed in Florida.
