Ascocenda/Vanda Memoria Louis Hatos × Chri.

A cultivated orchid hybrid in the vandaceous group, this cross includes Memoria Louis Hatos as one parent. Vandaceous orchids have a continuing upright stem rather than a chain of swollen pseudobulbs. Leaves develop along the stem, and abundant aerial roots help support the plant and absorb moisture. The group includes many tree-dwelling orchids whose roots remain exposed to the air. Photographed in Florida.
