The Tocuyo Sparrow, is a bird species belonging to the Passerellidae family. It is predominantly found in Colombia and in regions such as Tocuyo and Lara in Venezuela. This species thrives in natural habitats like subtropical or tropical dry forests and subtropical or tropical dry shrublands, with a particular presence around the town of Tocuyo de la Costa in Venezuela​​. The Tocuyo Sparrow is classified as "Least Concern" by the IUCN​​. Photographed in northern Colombia.
