Areca triandra (Wild Areca Palm) is a small tree native from northeastern India and Bangladesh through mainland Southeast Asia to Sumatra, Borneo, and the Philippines. It grows in wet tropical forests and has also been introduced to several tropical islands and countries. Multiple slender green stems arise together, forming dense clumps rather than a single trunk.

The inflorescences emerge below the crownshaft and divide into many pale branches bearing separate male and female flowers. Male flowers are fragrant, while the oval fruits mature from green to orange or red. This palm is cultivated ornamentally for its compact, clumping form. It is assessed as Least Concern.
