Anigozanthos rufus (Red Kangaroo Paws)
Native to southwestern region of Australia and is well-adapted to the Mediterranean climate. As an evergreen perennial, Anigozanthos rufus exhibits a clumping habit and can reach a height of about three to five feet. The Red Kangaroo Paw is drought-tolerant and can withstand moderate frosts. Its long-lasting blooms make it an attractive choice for cut flower arrangements. Photographed in Bogotá, Colombia where it is always in bloom.
