Anacardium excelsum (Wild Cashew)


Native to Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, Honduras, and Nicaragua and nearby regions, this is a tree in the Anacardiaceae family. It grows below 3,500 feet. The seeds can be eaten if roasted otherwise it is poisonous. A large tree photographed in the department of Magdalena, Colombia.
