Aloysia virgata inflorescence with white flowers
Aloysia virgata (Sweet Almond Verbena)

Aloysia virgata is a flowering shrub native to Argentina and southern South America. In cultivation, it is known for its upright, shrubby form, often reaching heights of 6 to 10 feet.
Sweet almond verbena is particularly valued for its long, slender spikes of small white flowers, which bloom profusely from spring through fall. The flowers are highly fragrant, with a scent that resembles sweet almonds or vanilla. Photographed in Florida.
