Aloe hybrid
Developed in cultivation, this succulent perennial belongs to a group of ornamental hybrids grown for their foliage and flowers. Aloes store water in their fleshy leaves, which usually form rosettes, and produce clusters of tubular flowers on stems above the foliage. Hybrid forms vary in plant size, leaf markings, and flower color. Many aloes produce small plants around their base that can be separated for propagation. Photographed in Florida.
